Twin size (looks bloody huge to me though) quilt for a little girl, cobbled together from what I had on hand at the time. Can't back or quilt it until I find a rich uncle who is willing to adopt me and then die so here it is, getting aired out before I put it away indefinitely.

Not entirely sure what I was doing putting the blues, greens and yellows in there - I think it would have been better just pink and brown, but I'm happy enough with it.

Super easy design - went together at the speed of light. Blocks are 8" x 8", meaning the white bits are 2" x 8" and the coloured sections 4" x 8"

I think it is beautiful, beautifully done, and that the blues, greens and yellows actually work really well with the pink and brown.

I'm sure that if there are any rich uncles out there with an appreciation for the craft of quilting that they would adopt you in a flash and die of pride!

Congratulations on a beautiful quilt top.

Great color choices!  I just love it.  Quilting is the next craft on my list to learn.  Beautiful job!

i love it! i just made kitchen curtains, a table runner, and covered the light plate thingy with that flowered fabric, and then my joanns ran out before i could get to the mud room curtains. i think it all works well together in the quilt!

Yeah, I love that fabric. Only had less than a yard of it because I'd picked it out of the remnant bin. If you've got pics of the kitchen posted anywhere, let me know - I'd love to see it.  Smiley

That is a GREAT simple pattern, and I also like all the colours, and especially that brown floral. I wish we had a Joanns.

I have that floral fabric on my couch!  And as far as the backing, my mom usually just uses an old sheet.  Try looking around at yard sales, thrift stores, freecycle, etc.  Even if you don't like the color, you can dye it.  It would probably be fairly easy to find a tutorial.  Nice work, though.  You should be proud of yourself.
