Hey

I just saw the new vogue knitting and there's some cute stuff in there!

Any thoughts?

Also, does VK come out with a holiday special (ie gifts to knit) or is that IK?

The new Vogue is their Holiday issue (red-orange cover).

I flipped through it.  Am wondering where they are going.  (Last couple of VKs did not have anything I wanted to make--but the anniversary edition did make me go hunting for some back issues!  Tongue).

See? This is why their website issues are starting to annoy me - all the pictured back issue knits was supposed to be available FREE on their site (there were a few I desperatley wanted), but you obviously can't get to them as long as it's down. Anyone have an inside source as to why it's taking so long? Sigh...

Zero inside sources, but I'm thinking this really can not bode well for the magazine's future.  Staff cut backs could certainly cause the "technical difficulties" with fixing the website.

Yep, that could do it. Just seems unprofessional somehow to have it down for so long (since it seems like a pro mag, I mean).

You can go to http://www.knittinginternationalmag.com/ to get the patterns.

i'm just getting into contemporary knit-erature and was disappointed to find that the anniversary issues that had been shipped to my region (southern ontario) had been misprinted. i decadently flipped through the mag over a lunch hour before i realized that the patterns at the back were all wack. when i started calling around to bigger cities in the area they were all in the same boat.

get it together!

Silly me. When I read the subject of this topic I thought that you were saying that Vouge Knitting is out of touch and out of style!

I was quite disappointed at this news because I rely heavily on the patterns in Vouge for Christmas gifts.

Thank goodness I am just a little slow on the uptake.
