Has anyone ever tried to make their own Modge Podge knock-off?  I have a couple of recipes, but I'm leary.  I thought I'd see if anyone else had tried to make their own, and if so, what were the results?

THANKS!!   Cool

I've never tried it, but a bunch of people on here use Elmer's and water, to make it spreadable...   I don't know the exact recipe, I think it's mainly just an eyeball it type of deal...  If you want to try it, try it with papers you don't care about on something like an old can or something (unless you collect cans, then don't, heh)...   trial and error is sometimes the best way to go.

It's late, and I've been wondering...  How I can stay awake so long and miss so much...

I've used 3 parts glue to 1 part water.  Add 2 - 3 tablespoons varnish to make a shiner coat.  This has worked grest for me.  I buy the glue at the dollar stores ( you can sometimes get the bottles 4 for a $1)  This way I can make up more at one time and cut the cost
