I know some folks here are Mormons, so this may be of special interest to you.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is always looking for handmade items to be donated as part of its humanitarian efforts around the world.  In addition to hygiene kits, school kits, and kits for newborns, there is always a need for quilts, hand towels, clothing, crocheted/knitted items and leper bandages.  Even if it's too late to donate for Christmas this year, warm knitted or crocheted clothing items are needed at all times (when it's summer in North America, it's winter in Chile).

Yeah!!!  I was just thinking that I needed to put a post up on Craftster about this, I'm in the middle of making school kits (SO many BAGS!!!).

Really, the projects are very easy, and benefit everyone who is in need, not just the Mormons. Grin
