ooh, that's lovely. i really like the chalk pastels. did you use any sort of fixative for it? i keep thinking of using my oil pastels for a page, but i'm worried about the colour transferring. at least with the chalk pastels you can use hairspray, but i'm not sure if it'll be enough for the oil...

I use Krylon Workable Fixitive. It smells horrible, so don't spray it inside and it tends to deepen colors just a hair. However, I feel it keeps everything down way better than hairspray.

I'm not sure what to use with oil pastels, I've always preferred chalk.

Random note: I just want to let any of my future partners know that I no longer have home access to a scanner, so if you can, scan any pages before you send them to me! Otherwise I will certainly take photos with my digital camera, but they just never look as nice!

*forehead smack*
I had tried using my chalk crayons but they smudged when I *painted* my clear coat on. Gah!
I know better than that but it never occured to me to use my can of fixative. I am NOT the brightest or sharpest crayon in the box, hehe.
I may have to track down an answer on the oil pastels as I would love to be able to use those as well, without painting on a clear coat, lol.

Lisa, your blue page is so pretty. What did you use in the corners? Are those hand painted on?
Very lovely.

Beautiful! I love the stitching!

I've not used my oil crayons in ages, I really loved using them at one time too. I think they'd smudge for these pages, but maybe I'll break open the box again and have a play anyway. Smiley
