I'm looking to start a weekly knitting group for the younger crowd. I like shooting the breeze about knitting but my knitting buddy moved to Japan, so that's gotten expensive. I tried the established groups here but they got freaked out about the age difference and told me all these stories about how old and worldy they were when I was born, so it was no fun for anyone. If you want to just sit, have a drink, and knit some stuff (or learn to knit!) drop me a line and we'll get something started. Men welcome!

can I come? I'm under 20! I've wanted to do this, but I don't have many knitting friends.

I'm located in New Haven and have been trying to get a group of young knitters together for a knitting/book club, where we can read the same book, and discuss it while knitting together.

Just a weird idea that had the tentative name Knit Lit. Corny I know.

The girls I was supposed to start it up with a year or two ago moved, so I'm back at square one.

Have you checked out the New Haven Stitch and Bitch? I think they have a pretty varied age group.
