Ok, it's ridiculous that I don't know this, but if you subscribe to interweave you do get the holiday issue don't you???  I can't wait to start Jared's hat!!!

the answer is no.  IK Holiday issues are newsstand only--which is driving me nuts because NO ONE local I've been to in the last couple of days has any on the shelves! Sad

Ah - I'm glad I asked, I would have been waiting forever!  Thank you!

At first I did, but then I thought about the overall subscription cost. At present, as a subscriber I pay $6.00 per issue, and they are always packed with good articles and patterns I definitely want to make. Plus I'm guaranteed a copy and they show up at my door. Hoorays.

Were they to include the holiday issue, which only had a handful of patterns I was even kind of interested in this year and almost none last year, then it would add $8.00 (or $7.00 if they knock a dollar off as they do with the regular issues) to my subscription cost and not quite provide the bang for the buck that we get in regular issues.

So my thought on it is that it's okay to go to a store, look through the patterns, and make a case-by-case decision on the holiday issues rather than pay another $7-8 a year for a fifth issue I'm not thrilled about.

Of course if they were to add the holiday issue for the same price I already pay, then yeah, I'd be right on board with that.  Wink

I'm just so lazy - I love to go check my mail, and then curl up on the couch and go through it.  Now I have to go out of my way after work to find a store that has it in.  Oh well, I guess I have to go out and get the yarn anyway...

I think it stinks. I would gladly pay extra to get the Holiday issue included.
