I've had this tutorial saved on my computer forever that I found via fort and field which is from Blueprint magazine.  Being that I just moved, it meant that I (finally) found my bamboo handles and a scarf that I picked up at the thrift store ages ago.  So, I thought I'd put the two to some good use and this is what I ended up with

It took me about 5 times to do the knots.  I completely suck at making knots but in the end, I like how it turned out. (There are 2 bamboo handles on the purse.  The other must just be hiding behind the first one in the picture.)

What an interesting idea.  Isn't it fun to find stuff you've had for awhile and finally be able to use them.

Thank you both lulu9527 and PurpleLipstickGirl.  I thought it would back a nice "nite out on the town" bag.

When in doubt... sleep on it.

oooh, that's cute! Might try that. I imagine, though, that you wouldn't want to drop your keys at the bottom... might get a big clunky.
You paid what??

I love this! What a cute idea!  I have so many scarves I could do this with.
