Squeee! I can't believe it! After 3.5 years of knitting I have actually figured out crochet! I started off just practicing single crochet across 6 stitches and it ended up being a 6 foot scarf! I made it in Christmas colors because I thought it would take a lot longer than it did. I'm sure I made lots of mistakes. I even attempted a single crochet border in white. Again I'm sure I did it wrong but I like it so who cares if it's done right hehe. Hope you enjoy! Also ignore the mess on the couch, I've been sick all weekend and thats where I've been laid up crocheting.

I love knitting don't get me wrong. But let's just say I've never actually finished anything this big with knitting...nothing bigger than a dishcloth. I'm waiting on my mom to send me my Happy Hooker book so I can learn more but for now I'm learning with How To Crochet by Pauline Turner.

You did fab.  I just learned to crochet too.  I love it cuz it is so portable and versitile.

You don't have to give up knitting, either, there is room in life for both!  I would rather give up cleaning the house, myself, if I have to make more time to crochet and knit...not that I know how to knit...yet...all things are possible with craftster...

ahem.  Excuse my ramblings.

Yeah I'll still do both. I like to be versatile with my crafts. I taught myself how to knit just using online resources and of course Craftster.

I started knitting at age four, just learned to crochet three years ago (I am 23) and love love love it. It's so flexible and FAST! I like free-form crochet, that's how I design my patterns.

Great job, keep it up!
