yes i had a similar question...as i am also interested in making this with the skulls. also when i made my fake isle hat it came out really pointy. yours looks nice and round. also did you make the bigger size?

I think I made the bigger size, but I used Noro silk garden so my guage was a little smaller. I also used Frog Tree Merino for the white CC.
