Thanks everyone! I can't believe the response I've gotten from this hat, here and out in the real world. The funny thing is, it only took me a day to knit. I guess I found the perfect knitting Christmas gifts!

Long time lurker-first time poster and I couldn't resist this hat.  It's my second attempt at fair isle and kind of a variation on a theme at the top.  I loved knitting it. Very easy and super fast. Thanks for the inspiration Roe!

I was wondering if you had to tweek the chart any to get it to fit?  If I counted right the skull is 17sts wide by the original is only 12.

yes i had a similar question...as i am also interested in making this with the skulls. also when i made my fake isle hat it came out really pointy. yours looks nice and round. also did you make the bigger size?

I just took out the spaces so there is only one space in between each skull. That's it. It should work if you do that.
