Let's face it. I'm a Shakespeare nerd.  Literature and history, all rolled into one?!  YES.
Comedies, Tragedies, Histories... The craft possiblilities are endless!

and I know I can't possibly be the only one who's still got Mercutio's lines memorized from sixth grade.  Grin

Anyone else in?

Ah, the Bard. I am taking two 300 level classes of Shakespeare this semester. Much Ado about Nothing is definitely my favorite, but Hamlet holds a special place in my heart. I would love to take part, but only if the ship out date is after Thanksgiving so that I have time to work on it, in addition to my school work! Grin

oh, this would be something I would be interested in. I have season tickets to the Chicago Shakespeare Theatre this year and I love it.

Personally, I'm a "Taming of the Shrew" fan myself.  Now to decide if that's because I relate to Katherine or.... well, Katherine!   Wink

my favourite would be mindsummer's night dream.

but the drama part i was most proud of, was when i was asked in the 150+ drama class (high school had five classes of thirty each semester to accomodate everyone that wanted in, and there were huge waiting lists) to do the Lady's role from The Scottish Play. i got to do my own inflection, my own costume, my own blocking. *shiver* one of the best things i've ever done.

i like the idea a lot, and i've even dreamt up appropriate crafting ideas while walking through the theatre gift shop in stratford (they have a decent-sized annual run with a few shakespeare works).

i'm already gearing up for holidays, however, and want to focus on that...i'd be more inclined in january. so far away! i know.

I'm interested too! I'm totally a "Much Ado" and "Midsummer Night's Dream" girl myself.  Grin Whether or not I join totally depends on the time frame though since I'm moving at the beginning of November and traveling overseas for the last part of it. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this thread though!
