I wasn't sure where to put this - it's my first project post.

At any rate, here is our Halloween house this year. It's not completely accessorized, that will happen right before Halloween. Normally, it's a cheery yellow craftsman cottage, but for the rest of October, it's a den of darkness! The siding & windows are indoor party decoration, attached to the house with a frame made of lath.  The normally bright archway is draped in black fabric, & the ghoul is made of DH's graduation gown, a PVC hamper frame, mask, brick & spray foam / wire claws. He's been around for a few years, but he's still creepy.

Mostly, these are purchased items, but using it outside the house is different. Anyway, we've done this for a couple of years and it makes a good scary house!

I'm not much of a seasonal/holiday decorator but I'm in awe of your house. That is totally awesome!

That is so cool. I usually hate over-the-top holiday decorations, but thats just because theyre normally so tacky. This is super creative I bet kids love coming to your house on Halloween (either that or theyre terrified, which is good too).

You have nowhere enough comments for the Halloween awesomeness that is your house! It's just the right amount of spooky and scary. I wish my house looked like yours during October!

I was looking for this to show my kids today, after seeing it last night, and couldn't find it on the Halloween thread, frustrating. You'd get much more viewing if you put it on there.
Anyhoo, Obviously I thought it was pretty great. We went on a tour of the neighborhood today looking at everybody else's stuff and nothing came close to how awesome yours is.

this is great, I do the same thing each year too, but we just moved into a new house and soo I am having trouble with the placement of my halloween things... Angry, but I like the idea of using the room wrap on the outside of the house.

That's really awesome.

My bf and I are starting the whole October 1st tradition ourselves.  I'm doing it so that I won't force Halloween on so quickly, he would love to have everything out all year round.  We do have a few things up that didn't come down from last year's decorations.  But the tradition will stand that Gregg our Grim Reaper will go up on October 1st.

Hope you still creep out some of the kids.
