Mixed media collage on 8x8 canvas board.  I feel like it's missing something, but I always feel that way so I probably won't add anything.  Sorry the pictures are a bit dark/fuzzy.  I tried to scan it too but that was worse.

This is beautiful. What were the media you mixed??
And do you ever have trouble with canvas board buckling?

Just realized that I used my daughter's account to post that...but  I'm sure she'd agree Grin

Thanks!  I have had a bit of buckling- more just the edges kind of turning in a bit, but I think some time under a book would take care of it.  I think I prefer regular canvas, but I had these hanging around for some reason and thought I should use them.

I used torn paper for the background with ink and some paint on some of the white parts and for distressing the paper.  The moon is painted with acrylic that I laid a paper towel over to take some of the paint off.  Then I used a glitter glaze to make is sparkly.  Th owl/branch is acrylic paint and some ink dabbed here and there.

Wow! A lot of technique used for a very ethereal looking piece.

i love owls.  i think he'd stand out more if you maybe cut out some bright yellow eyes from somewhere, or used like gold paper/gold ink for the eyes, something like that.
