Hi everyone, Newbie here. I would really appreciate ya'll could help me figure out the pattern of this dress. I've been so tempted to make it but I have no idea how to start. Please help! Hopefully ya'll can see the pics, its from an episode from the O.C season 2. The dress is just simply beautiful.  Smiley

it looks like a basic halter dress with the sequins sewn on after the dress is done. what kind of info are you looking for? like a specific pattern number?

That would be great. A pattern would be the key to makin this dress, its just that I haven't come across any. I've done a skirt or two before but never tried a dress so any info on how to make it or tips on goin about sewing dresses like this one would be great to learn.

how about new look 6184? the neckline is different, but you could change it if you wanted. check out www.simplicity.com for simplicity and new look patterns. or look at www.sewingpatterns. com for a variety of brands. good luck!

This pattern looks very similar.

You could probably just tweek the pattern if it needs to be shorter and whatnot. Then just add sequins and you're done!

I have made that McCall's pattern before and it turned out great, except it was a bit too big in the back. I took it in a tiny bit and it was perfect. It was very very simple to make.

Maybe try McCalls pattern #3883.  It's a basic halter in a similar shape.
