I wanted to make this hat: http://hometown.aol.com/tepperleen/page2.html b/c I think it's super cute, but after finishing it, it was not only WAY too long on me (covered my nose) but it looked ridiculous. SO, I frogged it back to Row 17 of the pattern and left it like that. I used a K hook just like the pattern said.

I LOVE this yarn so much! It's Bernat Softee Chunky in the Nature's Way colorway and it's shinier and softer than the solid Softee Chunky. SO nice to work with! I used New Denim Heather color for the brim, starting at Row 16 (the dc's), which matches the blue in the other one perfectly. I am loving this hat (if not the pics of me with a shiny forehead).

Anyway, here are some pics:

I don't know why I'm making hats when I live in Miami and only spend 4 days a year in winter weather. They're quick and fun, I guess!

There will always be people who say mean words  because you are different, and sometimes their minds cannot be changed. There are many more people who do not judge others based on how they look or where they are from. THOSE are the people whose WORDS truly matter.

AWWW....thanks Aelita! You can't believe how easy peasy this hat is, it's just the yarn that makes it look all fancy pants. Cheesy  I actually have a brown spot in my upper right eye (maybe you can tell if you look closely, but I know it showed up on my Red Slouchy Sprial Beret pic post) so my eyes REALLY match that hat! ha ha
