I finally got my pics uploaded.. woo!  Here is the needle roll I gave to my SIL.  She loved it.  There are a few things I would do differently if I were to do it again.   Anyway.. here it is!

Me, too! I never think to add nice little touches like that when I make things...

Thanks!  I wanted it to be simple (my SIL has very simple taste.. no frills and what not).  I wish I would've paid more attention to the seams and embroidered further in so the seam wouldn't cut throught the middle.. but since I used pink thread it doesn't look too bad.  The inside with the flowers is just a bed sheet I bought at a garage sale for like 5 cents. YES!   Now I need to make one for myself.. my mom.. my other SIL, my friend... maybe assembly line style!

Hi all - what great rolls you all made. I made this one (crochet hook) for a swap and I wanted to keep it!  Undecided Now I need to make one for myself and I am going to go ahead and make some for Christmas gifts for 2008!

I really like how yours folds up, pjherbert! My crochet hooks are so scattered about right now! I actually bought a new set of plastic ones just so I could get some crocheting done. So, I really need to make a crochet hook roll for myself. And, I like yours so much, I might be making mine in a similar style. Thanks for sharing!
