Aww..that's so sad....well, you said she's kinda stressed out? Well, how about you get a boring old stress ball, cover it in fabric, and write on it or emboirder on it..something like "Great Moms get stressed too.".... or you could give her some made-up gift certificates, like, "Breakfast in Bed! With your choice of ... to eat....etc." or "House Cleaning Service! Kitchen, Bathroom and Bedroom Cleanup...etc." ... my mother always loves little things like that, maybe she will too. I'm sure you're extremely helpful at home, so this is a way to jazz it up, make it pretty, and make it official.

Another idea: Make her some little things to help her relax. A mix CD/tape with some classical music, jazz, country etc. You could get one of those battery-powered massager things. Maybe a sleep mask. (There's a tutorial for one of those somewhere here on craftster...) Get her or make her a special mom pillow. Get her some chimes to tinkle near her bed.

One more before my brain bursts: It migt sound a little childish, but a jar of kisses. Blow kisses into a jar, and make a label: "If I'm/we're ever far away from you, here's my/our kisses to keep you." Or something cute like that. The sentiment is sweet.

i was thinking of "girlfriend in a box" since me and my bf live a very long distance apart and we can't be together, i figured i'd bring parts of myself to him.
...
any other ideas? Huh

This is a GREAT idea, and just what I was looking for! I was thinking of somehow making confetti (LOTS) pop out at him when he opens the box. The mix tape is a good idea. I can put all of the songs that will remind him of me on it Smiley and what about making a little red clay circle with your names enscribed into it. and on the back write "Hearts are meant to be broken, but circles last forever" or somthing like that....or you can just use a heart haha.
And well, all I have to say is dollar stores work wonders ^_^

My dad's birthday is coming up... any ideas?

// he is a ham (or amatuer) radio operator
// he just got a new job at dmv after 22 years at a high stress job
// he's a computer whiz
// he loves conspiracies, aliens, etc.
// he loves random hole-in-the wall diners, and finding them!
// he loves watching Dark Shadows

Any ideas would be MUCH appreciated! I've never been so brain dead!

THIS is so awesome for Christmas.

What could I put in an Anit-Christmas in a Box box? My friend hates Christmas, lol.

She also loves Bedtime Bear (Carebears) and cars.

Anti Christmas : Voodoo Santa Doll and some of those funny Dr. Demento type Christmas songs. There are several in the "I hate Christmas" arena.
