  I would suggest adding either foot soak (for swelling feet) or a lotion with cocoa butter in it.  Cocoa butter is supposed to help prevent stretchmarks, so it is really popular with pregant women.

Okay, kind of corny but it might work... "therapy in a box", with a good pop-psych/self-help book, a journal and pen, maybe soothing tea/music/bath oils, some ginko pills...  sorry if this is a duplicate, I can't possibly read all 14 pages of responses to check right now...
A while ago, at Urban Outfitters, they had these really funny therapy cards, I don't remember what any of them said, to give you an example, but htey were just making fun of that kind of stuff, I believe. I dont know if you'd be able to find those anymore, but just an idea.

LOVE this thread! I'm new hear and I sat here for hours yesterday reading everyones great ideas(didn't have anything else to do thankfully). I made a list of boxes that i'm going to make and can't wait to get started!

For preganacy in a box: If she doesn't have What to expect when your expecting It's suppose to be a great book, I'd put that in there. You could also put some babysitting "coupons" in there so she could get some much needed rest or alone time after the baby is born. Prenatal vitimans would be good too.

I'm going to make my hubby a Racecar driver box, I'm going to put
-a steering wheel adapter so he can play his racing video game with it
-sunglasses
-racing/heart pumping music(which would be Huh don't know any good songs I like relaxing songs!)
-a dodge baseball cap(his car brand)
Any other ideas would be much appriciated! Thanks for all the insperation!

* grass growing in a li'l tin, or a bottle graden, as she won't be getting out much!
* a relaxation CD
* a sleep mask
* a bath bomb
* an alarm clock
* can of Red Bull!!
* little munchies to keep her going

Okay, you babes of jazz, let's pick up the pace!  Let's make the parties longer, let's make the skirts shorter.  Let's all go to hell in a fast car and keep it hot!

*ScrEaMO music
*Any deep/depressing poem or movie....
*A bobby pin, as a joke. It seems like emo guys are forever twitching to get their hair out of their eyes.....this could be an anti twitch device
*um......I cant really think of anything else that's cool.....you could get a tiny tiny pair of pants, maybe even little girls size and put a note on it saying "Are these tight enough?"

I dunno, sorry, I'm kinda out of it, I'll try to brainstorm on this one, and I'll let you know if I come up with anything else.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet, but if your friend is single, Boyfriend in a box

- Dried flower
- Cute written notes
- picture of a cheesy model in a frame
etc

that is such a cute idea.  my godbrother would love that.
