weding in a box:
give a present for each month rather than one huge exspensive present that someone else probably got for them or they later realize they dont need.

january: wine glasses and a cokscrew(dont know if alcohol would be ok for a long time depending on when they got married) or something like that or maybe cocoa and mugs
february: chocolates
march: packets of seeds to plant
april: umbrella for those april showers
may: a gift certificate to a restaurant
june:  disposable cameras for when they go on holiday
july: those little firecreackers (not the real ones but the ones you can get at new years that you just pull apart)
august:
september:
october: something fun for halloween
november:
december: an ornament with their name and wedding date engraved on it

ok, i am having trouble thinking of examples for some months but i hope you get the idea and include a card in each package

Hi Guys
I am loving this thread!!

Does anyone have any suggestions for a airplane journey in a box for my boyfriend? He's going back to Indonesia at Easter and it's a 14 hour journey so I'd like to give him something to make the time pass quickly! So far I've come up with a notebook/pens, CDs, candy, a photo of us..and that's where I get stuck!..any other ideas?

Thanks!

~Kitten~

For the airplane: gum, one of those tiny decks of cards (so you can play solitaire on the tray table) earplugs, eyemask, maybe a small coloring book and box of 8 crayons? or just a book or two, or some comic books, whatever he likes.  Depending on how much money you're willing to spend you could maybe get him one of those little handheld electronic games (you can get electronic handheld yahtzee from toys r us for $14)

i'm thinking about doing a cheerleader or all star in a box for my daughter who is an all star cheerleader and is going to 2 national championships in february.  the things i thought about putting in there:

- little trophy for her saying something like she's #1
- snacks like granola bars, m&m's, beef jerky to munch on while she waits in between performances
- disposable camera to take pics
- make up removal wipes b/c they wear glittery make up and may want to wash it off
- prepaid credit card so she can buy souvenirs from the comps
- bottle sports drink

can anyone think of anything else that would be good to go in there?

bye

I don't have very creative ideas right now but maybe some bandage wrap, an ice pack, postcards (some pre adressed and stamped)

so i've decided on the v-day b-day:
themed magnets(glitter and fashion)
one of those secret slut kits
paper flowers
these cute heart slippers i saw at cvs
mini box of whitmans chocolate

for the secret slut kit i am putting this limerick:
A secret slut kit for you,
for that perfect anonymous screw,
theres some condoms and mints for that fresh morning kiss when you're wondering,
WHO ARE YOU?

and inside will be a condom and mints obviously, a mirror, loose glitter, chapstick, those oral-B brush ups and possibly an individual thing of lube if i can get my hands on it. muahaha

Ok, I wanna make a "movie star in a box" gift for my friends bday this friday, I saw the ideas on here, but I need more! Her dream is to be in a movie and walk down the red carpet

The things that were already mentioned (that I remember)

*Sunglasses
*A tabloid article with her name/pictures
*A boa
ummmmmmmmmmmmmm I cant think of the others.....I was thinking a mini red carpet?Huh um....a script for auditions?

I need it to be stuff that I can hopefully find around the house, as I am completely broke right now....if it's cheap, I might be able to pick up a few things, so...lets hear your ideas!

How about "80's In a Box"?

Some ideas:

-  Classic 80's movie (Pretty in Pink, The Breakfast Club, Ferris Buller's Day Off, Back to the Future, etc)
-  An 80's themed T-Shirt (Check out http://www.80stees.com/)
-  Hairspray!
-  80's music CD (Tiffany, Madonna, Michael Jackson, any "Hair Band")
-  80's toys (Care Bears, Cabbage Patch Kids, Transformers - all this stuff's coming back now, so it shouldn't be hard to find!)
-  80's candy (Off the top of my head: Runts, Bubblelious (sp?) Gum, Pixie Sticks, Bottle Caps, Pop Rocks)
-  maybe instead of a movie, a 80's TV show on DVD.  Is Saved by the Bell availible??
-  One of those plug-and-play Atari joysticks with all the games in them
-  You could knit up some legwarmers.  I've seen a bunch of patterns around Smiley
-  Floresant clothing
-  Slap Braclets, or jelly bracelets
-  Rubik's Cube

That's all I can think of at the moment but I'm sure there's more! Smiley

I'm thinking about making a "Wedding Day Survival" in a box, and I want to include some practical stuff and some fun stuff, but right now I have a lot of practical and not so much with the fun. Also, this is for a supervisor at work, so I can't really do anything too racy.

Here's what I've got so far:

little sewing kit
safety pins
bobby pins
Lip Smackers lip gloss
waterproof mascara
breath mints
energy drink
travel-size tissues
asprin
temporary tatoo in her wedding colors
luggage tags

Any of you crafty people out there have other suggestions?
