"_____ in a box" gift ideas.

For my sister's 18th birthday I'm thinking of doing a "Sherlock Holmes in a box" type of gift for her, since she LOVES Sherlock Holmes (and so do I, making it easy to get things for her present). This is what I have so far, but I was wondering if anyone had ideas for what I could add:

1) Two of her fanfics printed on lulu.com
2) A Holmes-ish hat
3) A "speckled band" scarf

I was thinking maybe a giant rat of Sumatra? Or something to do with his pipe, though I can't think of anything...

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

For Christmas this year I ended up with my boyfriends brother-in-law. He, unlike the rest of the family, is a Toronto Maple Leafs fan. The maple leafs aren't very good, and everyone likes to hassle him about it. I decided to make him a "Leafs Fan Survival Kit" it included:

Maple leafs kleenexes (for all the times he cries when they get scored against...may need to be restocked often)
A Picture of the Stanley Cup (so he remembers what he's hoping his team wins)
A stress ball (so at least something productive would come from watching the game --> strong hands)
A soft baseball (so that he could get out of sports all together, play a game, and throw something angrily at the tv) [I wanted to get him a foam brick, however I couldn't find any  ]
A chocolate  bar (because everybody knows that the leafs losing makes him cry like a woman, and everyone knows to give a crying woman chocolate)
A sudoku book (so he'd have something to do other than watching the leafs lose)
A sens mini-hockey stick (for when he gives up and starts cheering for a real team)

I included a list, and the explanations that are in ( ) as well.

You could easily do this for any sports fan, who is pretty good natured about their team's poor achievements, changing the kleenexes to be for their team, change the last item to be for the team you cheer for, and you could add other things too, or change them according to that persons likes.

Anyone got any ideas for Confidence in a Box for my boyfriend?

A diagram of him in which  you label things you love about him, or another "reasons I love you" kind of gift.

Hmm, I think it depends on the kind of confidence.  Is he uncomfortable with his physical appearance?  Is he going into a new situation that requires a bit of a confidence boost?  These things might change how you would approach her.

Didn't read through everything, but this reminds me of the zombie outbreak survival kit I made my boyfriend last year.
Containing:
-zombie outbreak survival guide by max brooks
-ninja bandaids (first aid)
-sour patch kids (nutrition, also his favorite candy)
-left4dead 2 (practice)
-lion king dvd (entertainment while barricaded waiting for help)

I was also going to include a blanket, but he beat me to it and bought one right before christmas (the dummy).
I made a pretty wicked stencil for the box too, not sure if I kept the file though.

I'm kind of doing a 21st in a box for my best friend on the other side of the country. I'm trying to come up with 21 things that are relatively inexpensive that I can ship to her! Here's what I have so far:

- (fake) Sunflowers with a decorated pot to brighten her day
- A piggy bank so she can save to visit her friends in CA
- A wine glass that I'm painting that's just as unique as she is
- A CD for the decade she was born for
- Advil, sunglasses, and a starbucks giftcard for those postparty mornings
- Candy because calories don't count
- A classic movie because she's a classy girl
- A tiara because every girl is a princess on her birthday
- A framed quote to inspire and to live by
- A necklace because she's always close to my heart
- Pink nail polish because every girl is pretty in pink
- Comfy socks for a relaxing night in
- A stuffed animal because they're the best cuddlers
- A wristlet purse to have all valuables close by on a night out

I'm short four, so I need help too! I hope this inspires you a little more. I didn't want to send alcohol, gatorade, or a mixer because liquids are heavy and I don't want to have to deal with the weight or with sending them!
