Hello all

I don't know if this has been done, I had a little look but there are soooo many pages!  I was thinking something along the lines of NY In A Box for my mum for Christmas.  We went there a few years ago and absolutely loved it.  Does anybod have any ideas of what I can add?  So far all I have is peanut butter cups lol.

Also, I may just do it as our travels, so instead of just NY I could do Paris, London, Marbella & NY  -  just to maybe spice it up a bit??

Vampire in a box
My apologizes, I haven't read through all 100+ pages. My best friend LOVES vampires. She's read the twilight books, she's currently reading true blood and she watches it every sunday. Ideas to help with this  would be AWESOME!! I'd love to get an early start on gifts.

She also loves army wives (in a box) on the Lifetime channel. It's about the things pretty wives go through while their hunky men are off at war... anywho. she loves vampires more, but this is also her must watch every Sunday.

In addition, she loves music. texas country (in a box)to be specific (and george strait) but it'd be difficult to get tickets because of her schedule so that's outta the question..

I have a new one!  My sister is taking some courses in the hopes of getting into the midwifery program at UBC for next year.  One of the girls commented that she was surprised my sister wanted to go into midwifery, because she was "such a plain bagel" because she isn't your typical women's studies student.  She is not a plain bagel, she's just a little more mainstream. My mom and I are putting  together a Midwifery/women's studies student/stereotypical feminist in a box:

Wool socks
sandals
long flowy skirt
insence
matches (to burn her bra with)
a copy of The Feminine Mystique or The Second Sex
stickers and patches from our local hippy store
vegan soap
sandlewoo scented deodorant
left over false hair and spirit gum from one of my costumes (for leg hair untill hers grows in)
CD with music from girl only bands (indigo girls, bikini kill, go-gos...)

It's just a for giggles to remind my sister that all these things will not make her a better midwife, they would just be "poppy seeds" on her bagel.  Without wanting to  offend anyone with a hippy-esque esthetic (I'm amongst you, free-spirited ladies) does anyone else have a stereotype I can include into the box?

I need help with ideas for a Teacher. My friend is a K teacher and I got her for our secret santa. I want to make her a survial type kit for her but I'm not sure what to add. I check her FB status and sometimes she's like OMG CRAZY KIDS or OMG MY SUB NEVER SHOWED.

I read through the first 30 pages and jumped to the end. I'll keep reading but wanted to put this out here.

No one has posted here in a while, but just in case.

We always get together with my mom's friends and their kids for Christmas. The past couple years we have done it so everyone brings a present, and we go around and the first person picks one and opens it, then the next person can either steal that one or pick their own. Then it just continues and each person can either steal one or open their own.

I think the ____ in a box would be a fun and easy thing to do. The only issue is there is such a big gap in ages. From 7 to 60. Does anyone have any ideas of ______ in the box ideas that could appeal to almost any age?

My boyfriend lives in Australia, and I live in Germany. He's been here 3 times, so I'd really love to make him a Germany in a box. I'm lost on any ideas of what I could put in there.
I could only think of Milka chocolate and Haribo =(

ok, so i need relatively inexpensive gift ideas for my 3 roomates. I was thinking of doing this gift idea using their majors. So it would be an Interior Designer in a box, a Graphic designer/artist in a box, and a historian in a box.. or mug.. whatever. Just as long as its under about 15$ each.

anything helps! ideas please?

It would be cute to do it in mugs. Search for fitting mugs at a thrift store so they are cheap.
