Just not enough hours in the day to do craft

I had been buying a whole heap of ribbons to use in my paper crafts  and I was starting to need something that would store it well on my craft desk without taking up a whole lot of room.  Hence I sat down and made this.  It is sturdy enough to hang on the wall.

Some foam core, mulberry paper, scrapbook paper, dowel, ribbon, a few other doodads and lots and lots of glue
Total height 34cm,  width 30cm, depth 8.5 cm

Compartment on the top to store loose ribbons

the two lower compartments are for ribbon on reels. A dowel goes through the middle of the reels and is removable so that new/more reels can be added.

That is a neat way of making a ribbon holder! What type of container did you use, or did you just use pieces of cardboard?

Wow! That looks amazing. I love the colours/patterns of the paper used to decorate and the way you hang the reels.

Peices of foam core which have been covered in mulberry paper.  The edges have been painted, then the flat sides are covered in scrapbook paper.  After all the peices have been painted and have the scrapbook paper attached,  Then the peices are glued together.  Hinges are made from short lengths of ribbon.

Wow! I SO need something like that!
Beautiful and Practical  Cheesy

All my ribbon spools are stuffed on the end of a big knitting needle...all my loose ribbon is stuffed in a baggie.

I'd LOVE to see a tutorial for making one!

That is a really pretty ribbon holder!  I especially like the bin on top to hold loose pieces!
