thank you all so much, i'll pass along your compliments. he does one of a kind custom pieces that take ForEver to make. he's meticulous about the bevelling and polishing, i've helped him with many pieces and each small leaf and branch has to be perfect, they each take hours. there are nearly 140 bevels in that piece, calculate that, 140 x 2 plus hours each? that's after drawing and cutting, keep in mind that this is High Lead crystal too, can you imagine grinding that? and the frames are all custom made to his design as well. i'm beyond flattered that he used my frame design for not only my piece but my sister's as well, i can't get over it. i had nearly forgotten about the design, that's how long those windows took to finish.
so you can imagine how absolutely stunned i am to have received one, and to have received THIS one. it's about the most precious thing i own, right up there with grandma's wedding and engagement bands.

oh, and they are way expensive. that one is at least $4500, i'll check on that with him though. i think that's just too low all things considered. *LeAd* ack.

ETA even though i'm responsible for the frame i don't think you can *this rocks* a project that isn't completely mine. thank you so much though, i'll accept the praise on behalf of my papa, he deserves it.

uh, that's so funny. he's the best pianist i've ever personally heard too. so, precious glass with beautiful music, he's all over it!

he's bipolar and spectacularly good at a few things. music, glass, cooking, he can take apart and rebuild anything. he's incredible.
