1) collect a pile of beer caps
2) find some pretty beads and fill the cap
3) fill the cap with 2-part resin (be sure to follow the label directions carefully)
4) allow to dry for a few days
5) glue magnets or thumb tacks on the back

Variation: instead of beads for step 2, find some pretty pictures.  Use a quarter to trace a circle on your picture.  Cut it out.  Place it in the bottom of your cap.  Proceed with steps 3-5.

I know this is a very old discussion, but I searched trying to find out how to make bottlecap magnets.  Thanks ya'll for all the tips and advice:))  I've never done resin either, so may have to try my luck at using resin too:))  Ya'll rock!!!

I love glitter too.  Yesterday someone posted a cross stitch that read, "I'm so happy I pee glitter."  Maybe I should make a giant resin magnet with that quote.   Roll Eyes

Different resins are used for different reasons.  I have only used one kind and I can't remember the name of it.   Tongue You can find detailed discussions on resin types here:
