I don't remember how it started, but I know that it involved me, my boyfriend, his roommate and his roommate's stack of borrowed "Star Trek: The Next Generation" DVDs. At any rate, we came up with quite possibly the most ridiculous pun based on the phrase that the captain says.
If you've watched the delightful late 80s/early 90s TV show, you may know which phrase I'm talking about: Make it so. We decided that this phrase should be on an oven mitt, only modified —to Bake it so.

Somehow this idea has persisted, ending up in a skit, a photoshopped image, and several conversations over the past few months. And so now, I bring you the crafty consumation:

I had to take the oven mitt halfway apart to do it, and the scrap material I had on hand for the letter will probably fray eventually, but there it is.

Let this be a lesson to bad puns and inside jokes everywhere — you too may become the product of my craft!

That is amazing!  As a bit of a trekkie geek myself, I'm going to have to make one!

Good ol'cpt.picard is actally a craftster. He spends a lot of time sitting in that command chair in between action scenes.
He's really saying  "Make it-Sew!" Now I want a photoshoped picture of someone on the bridge knitting at their station.
I like the oven mitts! I have a sister who is both a baker and a star trek fan-would you mind if I made her a pair of these?
