Well, here are the pics I have now - sorry, they're not the greatest.  They certainly don't do justice to the awesome apron and potholders that Kaiser Scissorhands made for me!  I love skulls and my kitchen theme is margaritas - lime green and lemon yellow.  Wist buttons ready?  Behold the skully goodness!

One side of the apron - please excuse my pajamas.   Smiley

The other side of the apron!

One of the two potholders that she made for me.

Thank you so much, Kaiser Scissorhands, and thank you, atomeve, for organizing! This was such a fun swap!

AHh! Both of those are so cute! This was is awesome swap!!

What do you put inside the potholders so you don't get burned? I've wanted to make some, but I'm not sure what material to use.

Kaissa, its fairly easy.  Your local chain craft/fabric store sells fat batting in large rolls that also has a metallic-like sheeting on it.  I use that, surrounded by two pieces of batting and then my cotton fabrics.

Here is a good link for making oven mitts -- they give you the supplies list.  I tried to make an oven mitt from this site, but it didn't NOT work out.  I couldn't get the mitt to turn right-side-out after sewing it together. Smiley  I keep wanting to go back to make another one.  You know, when you have all that free time that doesn't exist!

Thank you very much for the info! I have looked at the batting stuff before and just wasn't sure which to choose! Tomorrow I am making a trip to the fabric store so I will see what they have. Smiley I appreciate the help!!!

Ya'll.. I had so much fun with this swap that it inspired me to do aprons for some of my girlfriends for Christmas.

I'm finally posting pictures of my apron and goodies from KahluaKiggy (apologizing in advance for any rambling... I worked 24 of the last 30 hours).

The whole batch: apron, place mats, dish towels, two handmade dishcloths, and a really cute recipe box. Oh and the fabric to make matching napkins (KK busted her sewing machine on my apron)

I received my apron at the beginning of the new year, but just got around to posting photos.   Tongue

The neck loop is a little big, but the apron is very cute!  Thanks *Maria*!
