Can you help?
I am looking for a pattern to make a string-bag, preferably knit. Its the kind of thing that people might bring to the farmers market or beach, its really stretchy.

I've seen a couple of 70s-style patterns online that are crochet... but not exactly what I'm looking for.

I have a couple patterns in my old Workbasket magazines.  One is really cute, shaped like a fish, but it's crochet.  The other is very much like the one luveday posted, only neither knit nor crocheted, it's just netted.  I can provide the patterns for either if you're interested.
