i don't understand why you would want to use something like that on a diaper.
I thought they needed to breathe for the baby's skin?
if its for leak protection i would knit some diaper soakers out of wool.
search this site for all kinds of "diaper" related stuff - I read a vintage pattern posted on here yesterday for diaper soakers from the 40's - which I can't find right now.
My next kid I would use flannel diapers - especially now after making the DIY Pads out of flannel - my god that is amazing stuff.
Sorry to be so long winded and soap boxish - I can look around here if you still need it.

They have breathable diaper laminate (PUL). I used it because it was less expensive and wool is too hot for Hawaii. Check out sewbaby.com, diapersewing.com,diaperfabric.com, diapershop.com or fabric connection.com.  I also made double sided flannel wipes, soakers for night time made out of terry and covers out of 2 layers of fleece. The cheepo kind from WalMart. They worked great. I had to use soakers at night so they didn't leak but loved them and they were very cute.

I was thinking you were making covers. I think you can use several layers od birds eye or flannel. Printed flannel makes very cute diapers.  One of my cheapo diapers fell apart. I think it was a Gerger Diaper service quality and it was several layers of birds eye 4 layers for the sides, 3 layers a piece of thin batting then 3 more layers. They didn't work as well as the 4x8x4 unbleached cotton ones though. Good luck.
