Finally, I completed something(s)! And took photos. The first is the Lovely Leaf Lace Skirt from Lanaknits, though I didn't use hemp for it (I used Rowan Cotton Glace). The sweater is the famous "Sweater of Many Buttons" made with just under 2 skeins of Simply Soft and some mismatched discount buttons. These are my first real big projects, so I'm feeling very accomplished.

They both look great!

Congratulations on your first big projects.

they both look great!  congrats, I haven't made anything "real" yet - just some hats and scarves...I'm thinking of tackling a sweater, maybe I should do that one!

another day, another nap...

i think the buttony sweater is a great first sweater. i could have made mine a little smaller (the one picture kinda shows the neverending armpit) but the pattern is so clear and un-intimidating. i recommend.

Both are just great... but I have to say, I just adore the skirt. I'm not really much of a fan of knit skirts, but this one is so pretty! It's not too overadorned, but the lace is just enough to add some flair to it. I love it in red, too... great work on both of these! Cheesy

Extrapolate that!

I totally *heart* the buttony sweater!!  I like the black against all the multicoloured buttons you used (I'm a button freak!) and now I have, HAVE to knit this (I saw the pattern awhile ago and it was on my to-knit list but now it's a matter of urgency!!) Cheesy
