I really like those!
I've got an idea for a secret society: Every bead has a word from a long sentence (and a number indicating its place in the sentence, let's be practical here!) , and when the group meets your can read the sentence when they sit in the right order.

How much fun! Your DD is going to be very popular. Well, by the number of friends she made these for it looks like she already is. Tell her to keep up the good work.

These are really cool.

Mind if I ask where you got your beads?

I've been looking all over for some like that.

Sorry for the delay crafters!

HA! No I didn't make them Smiley they're parts of placemats!

I found my first set, the lighter wood tone ones at Kohl's... and the second set, the darker wood tones, at Joann's...

So peruse the placemat aisle all the time and see what you find!!!

Each bead is about 3/4" x 1" so you'll probably know them when you see them... there are 140+ beads per placemat, and I think I paid about $3 per placemat. Get WAY more than you think you need, as you will be HOOKED! and then have a hard time finding more... it was about 2 years between my finds!

WOW! How clever is that! I can't wait for the stores to open in the morning... I am headed to Kohls and TJ MAXX and Ross and Steinmart.... I do love a treasure hunt and these "beads" will indeed be a treasure!

Thanks for the tip...Will let you know where I find them (How's that for being positive?)
