so, my husband has been bugging me to make him a pair of knucks this winter, and i had a skein of knitpicks superwash in my stash, so i started knitting away on the first glove and was going to surprise him with a pair.  i made a hybrid between the men's and woman's size, because his fingers are skinny but long.  only problem is i'm scared i don't have enough for the second glove and i can't seem to find anymore supewash in my stash!!!  i'm at the start of the cuff of the first glove.  should i do the cuff in merino style of the same color (he wouldn't want a contrasting cuff), should i order more superwash (knitpicks takes *forever* to ship to me) or should i just scrap them and knit them both with something else in my stash that i have more of?

Personally, I would order the yarn.  Its a surprise so its not like you're on a deadline or anything...lol.  Plus, it will give you a great excuse to order yarn!  As if we all need any more reasons!

i like the idea of contrasting cuffs, you'll just have to tell him not to throw them in the washing machine.

Have you weighed the glove and the remaining wool? How about stopping where you are and doing the other glove. If you have enough for both when you get up to the same point on the other one, cool, keep going. If you don't, find something else for the cuff.. decide then.
