I made this skirt from corduroy I got at a church thrift store and some bits of cute tree fabric I got at superbuzzy.com.  I really like how it turned out.  It seems very fally to me.  Actually perfect for fall in LA where I can still have bear legs all winter without getting chilly.

This was my first time attempting french seams.  Next time maybe I'll actually read instructions when I sew.  It sort of worked.  This was where it looked the best on the inside.  In most areas I have really wide inside seams so that the edges didn't peak through on the front.

I love that combination of the tree fabric and cordoroy.  And I know what you mean about warm winters- SC barely ever gets snow  Undecided

This is super cute!

Oh, and that winter thing... for those of you who don't know what it is, it's where you walk outside and your fingers freeze off. And they even have the nerve to turn the ground into a giant ice cube...

Ugh... I'm from Indiana, and it's ALREADY too cold to wear a skirt like that! I LOVE the look of fall skirts, but unfortunately they aren't usually appropriate here...

I do have one super cute woolly one, though.. I might wear it to work tonight with some leggings, actually!
