I love making baby things even though I don't have babies anymore. Sad  I have been making these socks for awhile now but thought it was time to share the pattern cause they are so easy and so cute. Grin I hope ya'll enjoy making these as much as I do.

These are great!  I'm hooked on socks right now -- I just can't seem to stop.  I love these baby socks.  They are perfect for a quick gift and perfect to tuck in your purse.  Also a great way to use up the leftovers from the grownup socks I keep making!  Thanks for the pattern!

Oooooh, thanks!  I love the ankle socks!! What size would you say these fit?  My baby is almost 8 months old, and we've tried several kinds/sizes of store bought socks and they all dig into his legs and leave marks.  I really want to make him some cozy socks for winter.  Thanks for the pattern!!

I love them.....you just gave a solution for my son growing out of his.    What yarn did you use?  Also, what is PU? Is that pull up and knit? and how would do you do that?

Thanks everyone!

I'm not really sure...the ones I have made are 3" in the from heel to toe but you could always make it longer or you could make it bigger all around and just go up to a size 2 or size 3 needle.  The other thing you could do is if it is just the leg part that is too small you could cast on and knit the leg with a size 2 or size 3 needle then when you get to the heel just switch to a size 1.   Sorry I couldn't be more of a help but I don't have a baby to try them on.  I hope that helps.

I just used what I had left over from my socks.  The colorful ones are Knitpicks Simple Stripes.  The light blue with 2 in the picture is perchancetoknit sock yarn. PU is Pick Up sts -- sorry for not being clear on that.  There is a how to on this page for picking up and knitting stitches http://www.knittinghelp.com/knitting/basic_techniques/misc.php
Scroll down a little and you'll see it.  Wink

They are really cute. I can't wait to learn how to make socks.
I've bookmarked this so that I can print this off, after I've picked up new printer cartridges.
Thanks so much for sharing your pattern. But I have a question.
I was wondering what the gauge is?
Thanks and, great job!
