My boyfriend's mom is a MASTER QUILTER (caps are necessary) and she is teaching me how to quilt!  I just finished the top of my first project and thought I would show it off.  I don't have enough of the stripey fabric for the back, so I'm going to use some of her stash to fill in the gaps.  Thanks for looking!

ETA: http://www.arquilts.com/  This is the website of the wonderful woman who is helping me learn to quilt!

really nice theme!

are you hand stitching or are you using a machine? I guess I don't know if anyone even does hand stitching anymore.

I think I am going to use her machine to quilt it!  Right now I don't even have batting for it, so I need to work on that.  Anyone know where I can get some cheap cotton batting?  Wink

Your quilt is really cool!
Your boyfriend's Mom's quilts are amazing!

Back to your quilt - I really like the layout you used and the stripey fabric.  Smiley

Great job!

Holy cat spit, your boyfriend's mother is Ann Robertson?! You are learning from one of the best!

Fabumundo tee shirt quilt top ... I really like the vibrant colours. I want to make one of these for my 18YO son (who isn't into quilts), but all his tees are dark blue, black or brown. The boy is NOT into colour at all. It will be a challenge to not put in some zingy colours.

Seriously?!  Shocked  I just made a picture tutorial for her to show her how to get on Craftster!  I told her about it and she was really interested.  That is awesome that you know her!  She is super-nice!

Unfortunately, I do not "know" her, but her reputation precedes her.  She is talked about by quilters here in Nevada. She has serious skills!

I like the way you broke up the squares with the stripey fabric!  Definitly an above-average t-shirt quilt!
