Love!  This is the perfect project for me too!  I have cable fever in a bad way & don't have time to start the big honkin' cable sweater I have on deck to start - this ought to tide me over....

I am a little confused about what to do with the flap.  Did you stitch it in place? 

You could stitch it into place if you wanted to but I just slip it in and it stays in place.
