oh i'm so tempted and i really would love to join, but i'm not sure the journal would make it in time to me or i could find the same one around here (what i really don't think, but i'll take a trip to my favorite  craftstore anyway, thanks for posting the cover Smiley).
is it possible to get one spot reserved until i know for sure that i'll have the journal? i ordered it, but if it doesn't make it in time or so?
oh, and i'm in germany Smiley

thanks,
Mina

Remember how we said our motto was "flexibility"?

We've come up with an idea for this swap that I hope you'll all like. We're going to change this to an ongoing swap. Instead of being partnered in groups, we'll partner everyone in pairs. After your first pages have been received, we partner up everyone in different pairs. This way, people who are a little quicker to send will have the opportunity to swap for more pages a little sooner, OR, they can exercise the option of sitting out until the next "official" send date. If they wish, they can withdraw from the swap once all their pages have been received, and new people can enter in as they wish, as long as they get an official book and we don't get over 24 people. We'll keep careful records so you don't get paired up with the same people over and over (unless you want to!) and so that you are not always sending overseas (unless you are the only person in your country participating).

Because ongoing swaps have to close and re-open each month, the only requirement will be that we'll be checking in to see who wants to stay in, and who wants to move on at the end of the month. Hopefully we'll all have so much fun that no one will want to leave!

All that being said, I'm going to move this thread to the Ongoing section now. If for any reason you don't like this random turn of events, pm aroze and me, and we'll remove your feedback. Don't leave us, though! We're going to have some fun!  Grin

minanina, we'll be happy to save you a spot. Just send in your info. Now that we'll be ongoing, if the book doesn't arrive in time for the first sendout, you can hop in when you're ready!

Uh, I guess so. I will be surprised if we get that many, but I guess you never know.  Cheesy

I'm hoping that this way we'll get to swap some with people we've never swapped with before. Also, sometimes in a group, you have the jackrabbit people, who are done with all their pages week one, paired with the people that enjoy using every bit of their time. With this plan, we can keep the rabbit-y people busy.   Smiley

Once we get closer to the 23rd, I may ask for a list of people that you've not swapped with yet, so I can make sure we are mixing it up well. I know some of us have swapped several times together, and some of us have been in the same swaps but have never exchanged pages. Plus, we have some fun new people in the mix. It would be great to get a chance to swap with everyone! Life is good.

Racky is totally the brains behind the operation! I think it will work really well this way.

It's way hard to write it up, but I think once we get going it will be quite clear. If it's not, don't forget our swap motto!

(Flexibility!)
