i dont know if im on the right board sorry!

ok, im probably the worlds worst sew-er, by hand or machine im just terrible.. but i kept seeing kitty eared hats around and my kids both really liked them so i figured i'd give it a shot. why not?

i got a whole bunch of fleece at a thrift store for super cheep so i used that for the main 'hat' part, and i had some felt lying around that i used for the coloured part of the ears. i also lined them with an old tshirt, just because its SUPER cold here in the winter... i think theyre alright, even though theyre a little plain.

the first one is a nice dark blue with pink ears, and the second is a purpleish-grey with purple ears. action shots? [they really do like them, they just dont like being forced to take photos.  Tongue]

now this one was a mistake i made sewing the grey one.. i forgot to 'sandwich' my ears in before sewing [lol, duh].. and rather than throw it away i figured id just make one for me! tried to make a scrap flower, didnt turn out super well but i think i like it!

and a close up of the flower, which is navy, light blue and v. light pink w/ grey button

thanks for looking! sorry its so long, im pretty proud of myself. lol

I'm sorry - but I didn't read/hear the part about you being a bad sewer.  These are great - well done you!  Grin

These are great!  And remember, crafters don't make mistakes, they add "design elements"!
