Uploaded a bunch of knitting patterns from my old pattern books. Mostly larger gauge so they don't take too long to complete. Feel the love.

Yay! Yay! Yay! Oh, glamarama, you're my new favorite! I'm so excited to make the Bernat cape & cardigan. I needed something to make my best friend for Christmas & I think I've found it. Yay!

I just imagine the woman in the green & leopard sweater smoking lots of cigarettes & drinking gin & tonics.

Plus, look at how teeny this young lady's waist is!

Thank you!!!

Yay! Send me a photo when you finish it. I am working on a PINK faux mink mohair stole right now (I'll scan the pattern eventually) from the 50's. I love these patterns.

Actually I think the poncho with hood is pretty groovy.

If I manage to make it (you know because I have about 5 other project going already) I'll post back.

Wow, you're my hero of the day !!! Just discovered this vintage section of crafster, and then YOUR patterns !!! Thank you so much for taking the time to do that, and sharing !!!
Your patterns are really cool, PLUS I love that you chose the bigger gauge ones... The problem with most patterns of those days are the super tiny needles !!
I found a pattern book from the 70s in an opshop the other day, but they're nothing as cool, (and kids knits too..) ! Thanks again !!

Oddly enough, I just won some vintage knitting mags on eBay and these patterns were in one of them!  I said, "Hey! I've seen these before!".

My husband things I should make that teeny tiny mohair cardigan.  I think his words were "that would look GREAT on your boobs!"

I just now saw this post, even though it started last year!   Thanks for all the trouble you went through to scan these patterns.  What a pleasure to look through.  "Baby soakers"  made me LOL!

Glamarama,
Thank you so MUCH!
I just LOVED the vintage hat patterns.
I was inspired to make one for my adorable little neice. In keeping with the era I posted her in black and white. I'm sure she doesn't know how precious she looks...but "I" do!

Those patterns are so sweet. And I love the tart expression on the woman in the picture just after the tiny-waist woman. "Have you done your homework yet, honey?"

But what's a "baby soaker"? Is this a knitted diaper?

Wow!  I love that cape.  I really could use another capeto help whittle down my stash.  Thank you so much, so far I have only found patterns for ugly capes.

yamwam;

A soaker is *to cover* a diaper. That would have been a cloth diaper (in the '50s and '60s) with no plastic to stop any leaking.

I'm so gonna knit that vest soon, the first pattern.  I actually found it last night....

But anyone got any suggestions for reducing the bust?  I haven't had a close look at the pattern yet, but on something that fitted, 2inches is gonna be a problem.   I'm making the 12 if thats any help...
