Not only am I the first to receive (I think? Right?) but I am also the very lucky recipient of an AMAZING package!

JenBin is an amazing Wonder Woman! I can't believe this! I am literally in awe! And I apparently have been struck by Chronic-Exclamation-Point Syndrome!

The whole loot:

And a quick inventory of what I got:
-A very cute notebook, accompanied by pens (Pens! I love pens!)
-A box with writing prompts in it (Which I will NEED, I know!)
-A candle that smells frigging DELICIOUS
-A comfy comfy shirt
-A bookmark (which is very cute and I will definitely put to use this instant, I just started reading "Love in the Time of Cholera")
-A scarf, because I love scarfs!
And, the kicker:
-30 surprise boxes for every day of November!
!!!!! See what I mean about JenBin being a Wonder Woman!!!!!

Headless action-shot (more like boob-shot, snigger snigger) of me wearing the shirt. I love it! And I have an eery premontion that I will be living in it during November ....

The pens and the bookmarks. I ALWAYS need pens. Always. And that bookmark is so freaking cute!

The notebook. It is very adorable yet professional-looking, and very well done. JenBin has talent!

Action shot of the scarf! I know I look like a crazy gremlin guy, but the scarf is beautiful, no? I love the colors!

The idea box. I opened it and picked ONE out at random, and it said: "What are your thoughts on ghosts?" So you know it's going to be interesting. I'm definitely excited to see what JenBin put in there!

And the thirty boxes, plus the delectable candle hanging out on the side. I cannot believe this. Jen, you are my crafty hero. This is stupendous!

The bar has been set, ladies, and it's over the moon! I only PRAY that I can do as good by JenBin as she has done by me!

Squeeeeeeeeeeee!

Ok, so I got my swap from Kelda today!   Grin  Be jealous!

Here's what they looked like BEFORE I ripped into them!

A very cute "idea jar" with 31 ideas.  (One for each day and an extra!) I pulled one out and it said "what's your character's favorite article of clothing?"  Hmm.....

Kelda must know all about lacking a muse...  So she sent me one!  I'm supposed to name this one after my favorite author.  Does "Sir Edgar Allen Christie" sound too pretentious?

A journal (and pencils!) to write those ideas.  (Very cool, by the way!)

A "do not open until Nov. 30" secret.  Dang!  I'm so not a patient person!

And what Kelda described as "a few starburst."  I'm wondering if I can hide these from my teenager....   Undecided

Very cool stuff!  Thanks, Kelda!

I think that name fits that cutie perfectly Grin you can try and ask him to write for you some days of November... with that name he would surely be full of great ideas!

the rest of the pack is great too, I wonder what's inside the package... you will need to finish the novel completely or send it to me- ha!! Tongue

That's what I was thinking!  Sir Edgar Allen Christie should have many ideas...  mostly where to put the body ideas, but since I write mysteries, I'll take them!

Well, here's to Sir Edgar!  May he bless us all with the muse!!!!

By the way, I was so disappointed to see that Silverfisch only commented on packages received!  I can't wait until she receives the one I sent!!!!!!!

Good job, Kelda and JenBin!  You guys rock!

I don't know which is my favorite: the blanket *SUPER WARM!* or the teas... they smell so goooooooood.... Megan also sent me some lovely flower pens, which will grace the kitchen table, because I am always searching for pens in the kitchen, and they're pretty enough for a centerpiece. lots of post its, and a folding book full of inspirational quotes, which I have yet to read all of them, but they are very well selected! take a gander at that stitching on the blanket. A wonderful idea!

Yay! I got my package from seamshistoric on Friday and it was AWESOME!

First was an awesome pen holder. It was so crafty and colorful. Here's a picture of it all tied up and closed:

And here's what it looked like open:

So creative and adorable! And I love writing utensils and office things, so this is perfect!

Next was a knitted coffee holder-thing, which is very much like something that's on my wist. And it's brown, which is one of my favorite colors. I wish you could see the detail better, but it's really well made and so, so soft.

I am SO EXCITED about this coffee stuff. I told seams that I loved coffee, especially during novel writing time, and she sent me a bag of fair trade organic coffee and a bunch of flavor syrups. They look delicious, but I'm saving them for November. Just looking at the picture makes me drool.

Last but not least, a super cool notebook holder with more of the coffee theme (which I love!) This is going to be great, as I don't have a laptop and am hoping for tons of inspiration which will require me to jot down lots of notes and ideas when I'm away from my desk. Again, I love the colors.

Thanks for such a great swap, seamshistoric! And as for my partner - I am finally finished and am sending out tomorrow. I'm going to priority mail it and hope you get it before November 1st.

Good luck noveling, y'all!

now you all prepare to be jealous because I just picked up and opened The Package Shocked I can't believe all the things addicted2knitting crafted for me and all the extras! I could never imagine a better first swap Cheesy

now with the goods!

I opened a colorful package (I folded the color papers you wrapped everything in becuase they are just so great!) to find the most gorgeous knitted bag ever! just check the pictures... the colors are absolutely beautiful and it's so nice to touch! I never had a knitted bag before and now I can't stop touching it  Grin It even has a back pocket for having things handy. I plan putting some change for sweets and such

the bag came filled with tons of other goods! now, why did she knit that beauty for me? because I happened to tell her I love to take my laptop outdoors and sit at some cafe to write. so she made the perfect bag for my 12" laptop, which fits perfectly and has tons of room for wallet, battery, keys, candy, notebook... one of my kitties, boss, agrees  Grin

the bag has beautiful lining, and is padded so that the laptop is protected... and came with some velcro? when I first saw it I went like huh?

it has a divider, too! with a pocket, a zipped pocket, and the greatest charms ever Cheesy check out also the crafty button to close the bag!

and action shot of dorky me with laptop packed for nanowrimo at my building's elevator, which happens to be the only place where there is good light  Grin I never thought a knitted bag would be so sturdy, and that a knitted handle would take a laptop's weight, but it does, and feels sooooo comfy! I love my new bag!!

inside the bag came a bunch of great things: some cards and papers to write ideas and such. my fave ones are the star folded, and the cats! did I mention I love cats? she completely took my passion for my three kitties in and everything shows it!

there are also many cuts with sayings about cats. they are lovely and so funny Cheesy

also some pens in my fave colors, beautiful pencils with sayings about the planet (already in use), delicious chewing gum I am currently chewing, and cherry lipbalm! I never find so yummy flavors in my city and I love it. It's already being used and in my purse Grin

and the secret files! she wrote for me the funniest story starring me, my cats, my contact in the USA (she) and the goodies she crafted for me. Tonya, my dear, please excuse me for lauging out lout at the zipper issue Grin Grin Roll Eyes there is also explained the meaning of the velcro I found inside the bag Wink

a handmade notebook. which is just PERFECT. the cover has also words about kitties, and the inside she completely stitched (was this called coptic binding?) and filled with pages all different. I just love the different textures, the writings on some of them, the special add-ons like the letter soup (is it called like that) for procrastination goodness Grin and the bookmarks! this is absolotely awesome and also being used in my purse instead of the plain boring moleskine I had

and last, but not least, the knitted wool socks I am currently wearing Cheesy this last night the weather cooled and I was feeling cold, so the perfect socks arrived at the perfect moment! they are soft and couldn't fit me better. and the colors - my fave! the loveliest shade of purples & greys for sitting in front of the computer and write with warm feet Cheesy

tonya, I love it ALL SO MUCH!!! and it's useful!  I can't thank you enough for being such a great swap partner. now I have the worst swap anxiety and can only hope you will enjoy as much as I have opening the package and looking at what I crafted for you

I can't stop smiling! Cheesy

HEY!  Remember what I said about craft anxiety!  Not allowed!  I have been checking craftster daily while on our Florida vacation to see if your package arrived and was so relieved to discover your laptop DOES fit in the bag (okay, maybe a LITTLE anxiety is allowed!).  I'm so glad you like it!  I think swapping is just about the coolest thing ever and I can't remember the last time I enjoyed making something for someone (outside my daughter) quite so much!

You need to know, I almost laughed myself sick over the "zipper incident."  Just so you all know:  I made a little wallet to go with the bag, but I sewed the zipper in, in such a way that all it did was unzip -- no pocket because it was sewed to the pocket lining as well.  That was the day I knew I was crafted out!

Thank you, Krafty KT, for organizing a great swap!  And thank you, silver, for being such a great swap partner!  I love that picture of Boss!

Grin  Package received from across the wide oceans!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

News Flash!  Silverfisch Delivers Motherlode to USA!

This was such great fun!  (I can't say enough about how enjoyable this whole experience has been!)  Are you all ready for this?    Cool

Here's the whole stash!  Check out the coasters front and center -- they are perfect for my morning tea and afternoon iced tea as I write one of the several crafty novels that will be written in the month of November!  Also, notice the cool black box in the background -- it's the neatest thing!  I plan to store treasures in it!

This little wallet touched me.  I love the idea that writers happen -- just like trees and flowers -- in spite of humanity!

The closure and a glimpse of the handmade paper!

The coolest writing utensils I've ever seen inside the coolest writing wallet ever made!  Don't they just make you want to write, write, write?

A sweet little pocket full of sweet little writing prompts!

Did I say sweet?  What a nightmare!  Sucked into the vacuum of my own shoe!  Good thing I'm a superhero!  Oh wait . . .

A little purse!

with a perfectly executed zipper!   Cheesy

A perfectly painted shopping bag -- well, I think the painter was a bit painty by the end of the project, too . . .

And candy for the hungry NaNoWriMoer!

I couldn't have asked for a better swap partner!  Thanks so much, Silver!

P.S.  I'm framing this little friend and hanging him above my desk to inspire me!  Yes, you guessed right!!! Kiss

oooh you received!!! I thought you were not going to receive until the beginning of next week!

I am SO glad an relieved that you liked my package Cheesy it was relly fun thinking about you and all the things you liked, and it has also been so nice exchanging mails with you.

you were right: I ended up painted in brown while struggling with the bag Tongue but what you don't know, because I forgot to write in the letter, is that I also ended up green because of the green polymer clay Grin the other colors were ok, but the green! it went up all over my hands and face, and then a neighbour knocked at my door to ask for some sugar... and almost fainted Tongue

In a couple of hours I will head for my favourite place to have a coffee and start nano, your bag is already filled with the laptop and other stuff, and ready for action!

I could have never thought of a best first swap partner, I wish you the best! Kiss
