The picture doesn´t do it much justice.

I knit the ribbing with elastic just to try that out, so it scrunches and holds its shape on my head... I played it by ear with the needle sizes and just used what I had.



I think that the cables get lost in the business of this yarn, if i were to knit it again, I´d choose a yarn with less texture.

question--how was knitting with the elastic? i'm going out to get the stuff tomorrow for this project, and i don't really know what to do about that. haha

It doesn´t really need the elastic, but if you want to use it, go ahead...

The elastic tends to stick to the needle and doesn´t slip off smoothly off the needles. You also have to remember to knit it taut, so that it does work as "elastic" and brings together the stitches.
