So, I know the standard around here is really to reconstruct ties and make stuff out of em, and I probably would too if I had some lying around... But, I needed to make my brother a gift this year and rather than being cliche and buying them (because he actually does need them), I went out and bought some silk shantung and made my own. 


Granted, I should probably iron them again - silk shows all wrinkles.  Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.


The flash kinda ruined the effect of actually seeing the labels.  Oh well.

I think if I do it again, I would double the interfacing that I used, but I'm happy with how they turned out.   Smiley

gorgeous!  i love the colors and the silk and the backs look so perfect with the labels!  i have brothers who need ties too -- any chance of a tutorial?
