Ok, I have to admit I have been eyeing a purse much like this for some time now, but I knew I could make one for much cheaper! I have been thinking about it for a week now and here is my newest! It is pleated and lined with tshirt material so it will stretch as I load more in it! So all in all IT GROWS! Ha! There were some learning experiences but the next time will be easier! Comments and cristism welcome! Thanks for lookin!

Ok so here it is all flat with nothing in it. Measurements are 12 inches at the widest when flat. Height is about 13 inches.

Now with what i could find to jam in it lol! When stretched out at its widest point would be roughly 18 inches give or take! I love this hehe!

And now I feel like I accomplished something!  Grin

This is FAB!!!!! my sis is coming for a visit today and staying for a week or so and I KNOW that we are gonna attempt that purse. Of course when we get together there is no telling what we get up to or come up with.  I can actually see a funkier version for her daughters who are 17 and 19, this is gonna be too fun!  thanks

Thanks for all the nice comments guys! I'm glad you all were as excited as I was to see it!  Grin I used no pattern making it its basicall sew two pieces together press them then sew them again and keep adding. I just rounded the bottom kinda like a half circle. Then I just kinda flew by the seat of my pants thing! But once again thanks!

i absolutely adore this! i may want to make something similar for school. i'm just wondering, but is the bag lined? it seems a bit difficult to line something that expands like that.

I lined it with t shirt material so that the bag will expand but contract when there is nothing in it. It seemed the easiest way to go about it.

I am looking into selling these but if you know how to make pleats it's just a basic tote with pleats in it
