as my business is taking off on etsy i'm collecting more and more yarn and odds and ends of yarn. i was sick of my room being cluttered with huge ugly bags. with a little brainstorming with my mom we came up with this:

its sweater storage to hang in the closet. originally i was on the hunt for a shoe rack but this was more spacious. i have the tiniest room known to man and this was definitely not going to fit in my closet. plus i wanted to display it nicely. so we cut pvc pipe to fit through the top, hung two hooks, and strung the chain between them.

storage: $16
hooks: $2
chain: $2

$20 total! once i got home and started to fill it i realized i could use another haha.

Very cute idea!  I'm lucky that in my new apt I have one miscellaneous closet that is in the corner of the dining room.  Since I don't have tablecloths/napkins yet and all my appliances are in the pantry, that is my craft closet...with room for my huge yarn tote.  That is so cool though!  I'll have to remember that for in the future.

haha, that's pretty and organized. too bad i can't do it, because went out of my mind and bought too much yarn, so i'm trying to hide it from my mom when she comes to visit Tongue
i bought plastic cases and i'm storing it all over the wardrobe when she comes...

Just hit "this Rocks"!!!  I want one.  The only draw back I see for myself is the other half will be able to see just how much yarn I have.  Ahhhh who cares, I can still hide some hehehehehe

i love that it's see-thru so you can easily pick the yarn you need.

That is a great idea. Lots of room and you are able to see all the yarn. Where did you find that at?

i got it at linens n things but i'm sure you could find it at any type of store with a storage section. its for sweaters!

the swag hooks and chain i found in the garden department at walmart. they had chains and hooks in the hardware department but it was way longer than i needed and more expensive.
