My mom and I went to a great LYS while I was out visiting Los Angeles... Wildfiber in Santa Monica. They have an incredible selection of the really high-end stuff. We almost got out of there without spending money, but then my mom (who is definitely NOT a knitter but does have a wacky artistic slant) noticed the rack of Habu Textiles stuff. They had eight or ten different varieties, each with a neat palette and wild textures. She found two very different yarns that she thought would look neat together, and we negotiated a scarf. My bribe for knitting it up was a skein of ALCHEMY BAMBOO! It's a good thing, too, because the puffy yarn was a real pain in the butt, and I might never have finished it without a bribe.  Grin

With no further ado...

Modeled by Felon. She's such a good scarf model!

The scarf looks very lux - nice work.

Nice scarf - I have a bit of a self control problem when faced with Habu, myself  - so I totally get your mom's predicament.  But what I really wanted to say was... What a good dog!  Felon, you are the best 4 legged model ever.

psst - you could probably get 2 skeins of the bamboo if you negotiate hard.

The scarf and your dog Felon are so cute.

Super cute dog and the scarf is really pretty.  I love Habu yarns.  I always get overwhelmed when I see their booth at Stitches West.  There is so much to choose from.  I have visited Habu's studio in NYC, too and that is also overwhelming.  Their yarns are so different.  I would love to knit something up with them.

I am glad you enjoyed Wildfiber.  It is one of my favorite yarn stores.
