I love this guys work, he was illustrating books, posters and such in the 1920's. His style is linear, his women voluptuous, rich, & sexy. But he often had these odd little men he called "grotesques" usually servants, wizards, or devils that were downright creepy.

This card is done in his style of black on plain paper, bordered with a floral motif. I hope I've done him justice.

Both bizarre and creeply cool.  Haven't seen this artist's style before. Thanks for sharing him.

Oh, If you go looking for his stuff don't troll him from work. He did illustrations for an edition of the Greek comedy Lysestrata (sp?), great for a giggle but definately NSFW.

Definitely creepy but very good. and I love the contrasting floral border!

The funny thing about searching from work is I have to search alot as I'm a transcriptionist and am not sure about words or meanings sometimes and you wouldn't believe the wierd sites that will come up on really innocent searches - and how many different uses people have found for medical equipment.....
