Just wanted to share this neat scarf i made for the Fall/Winter Scarf swap! I wanted to do something totally different and so i started thinking of objects that were long and thin and the first thing that came to mind was a pencil! So i did it up!

complete with eraser and lead tip Smiley

i started with pink, for the eraser and i think i started with 15 hdc's, then each row i added another hdc on the first st and last st and gradually made it wider.. Smiley hope that helps!

This is amazing, it would be perfect for a gift I need to make. How long did it take you and if you don't mind me asking how did you do the shaping on the rubber end?

Awesome! I need to make one for my aspiring elementary school teacher friend. I also like the idea of a crayon one, there could be a whole set: pens, pencils, crayons, rulers, etc. Too fun!  Grin

There will always be people who say mean words  because you are different, and sometimes their minds cannot be changed. There are many more people who do not judge others based on how they look or where they are from. THOSE are the people whose WORDS truly matter.

That is so awesome. I'm thinking of making a knitted version, if you don't mind.
