I literally just yelled "OH MY GOD!" and thusly had to explain to my boyfriend not only why  I was screaming but what the yip yips were (Thank you, YouTube).

I absolutely adore it.

Yowza, so many great comments!  Thanks so much for your kind words everyone!!! I'm glad I could take you all back to the 80's with me.Wink (or that's where he takes me at least.)

These guys were by far my favorite Sesame Street critters too. (Though I was a teeny bit freaked out by them.) They didn't come on often enough, and I can still remember getting really excited every time they did. The phone sketch is always the first thing I think of when someone mentions them.

how funny, i was watching sesame street with my son just yesterday and thought how much i love those monsters and would like to have one of my very own!

I loved those critters even as a kid

Great job, i really love all your posts. Especially the brain slugs  Tongue

Eve

That's so sweet, thank you!  Do the yip yips still come on Sesame Street? I don't have any rugrats, so I haven't watched it in nearly 20 years.

determinedimprovisation, I was thinking as I was making him that the real Muppets look more like chenille. I think it would definitely work.

Craft Hooker, I think he's going to stay one of a kind for now, but I'll let you know if I change my mind.  Smiley

And yes! Thank you shewolf for posting the YouTube link!!! I have to go look for the toaster one now, 'cause I don't remember that one at all.

THIS HAS SO MADE MY DAY!OMG THANK YOU.... Grin

Very well done, my hat is off to you Grin
