I made this scrapbook style game for Mom's 70th birthday on May 5, 2007.  She's never had time to make a scapbook so I have all the family pictures:

Mom's the queen, and Grandma and we sisters are her court.  If I had it to do again, I'd use the classic old board that folds up the middle, instead of this newer one which has to fold into 4 sections.

Grandpa and the cockatiel, and the rest of the family were all money.

I made personalized Community Chest and Chance cards.

Properties all featured things like our parade entries when my sister won first place in her division for best decorated bike.  Property deeds likewise.

I found meaningful game pieces off the internet, such as a 1937 Ford Coupe representing Mom's birth year.

My imagination was spurred by Cheryl Prater's Sixtyopoly game in the Jan/Feb 2007 Cloth Paper Scissors magazine.   Her project doesn't use any Monopoly elements, but I loved the name!
Let me know what you think!  I hope some of you grab the idea to make gifts of your own!

I agree -- you put a LOT of thought, and a LOT of effort into it. It's so sweet! and hilarious!
