I am not new to making purses, but I am new the the whole messenger bag process.
I like the way this turned out. It was not as difficult to make as I thought, and this is a guina pig one.
So, now I know what not to do on the next one.

Skully Bag I made tonight too...I made this after I made the other one below.

Inside pockets!

On my mini-me Chelle.

The inside with a few pockets so I do not have to go around and find my buzzing phone.

I got the pattern from a purse I had used and tore up, but loved the shape of it. So, I butchered it and made a pattern. I learned the basics of putting the curved edges together from tuts.

Thanks for looking at the 1,000,000 messenger bag on here!

This is really good for a 'guinea pig' messenger bag! I'm in love with the fabric (I have a slight obsession with polkadots...). ♥ And the pockets are fantastic too!

I was actually eyeballing an old messenger bag of mine that I don't use anymore, and thought about gutting it for a pattern earlier this evening lol.

i love them! my first bag - a couple months ago - was a messenger for my daughter's birthday.

is that a duct-tape-dress form i see? i tried to make one once, but i filled it with expandable foam and it just kept expanding. made the bootie and boobs grow and grow and grow . . . but i digress.

i love the shape of your bags and they look like they're nice and stiff (not floppy). great job!
